Exercise and Fitness Classes FAQ's

 

Q: Several classes have already happened, is it too late to sign up?

As long as we have room available, it is not too late to sign up. 

Q: What activities are there for participants?

Activities include but are not limited to resistance training, walking, stretching, basketball, Frisbee etc.

Q: Will participants get to interact with University of Scranton students?

Yes. Students with appropriate clearances and under supervision of faculty in our exercise science department will be interacting and socializing with participants.

Q: My child cannot do weights, will there be other activities for them?

Yes, our class activities are adapted to accommodate individuals of all abilities.

Q: Is there a place for caregivers to stay while class is in session?

Caregivers are welcome to stay on the first floor of Leahy Hall which includes seating and Einstein Bros Bagels. Our project manager is also available to help connect families to community resources and discuss any issues during the session.

Q: Where are the classes?

Edward Leahy Hall, located on the corner of Jefferson and Linden

Q: How much are classes?

Classes are free 

Q: How do I know if classes are canceled on a particular night because of weather?

As long as the University of Scranton is open, classes will be available. Please check local listings for closings or early dismissal at the University of Scranton. If you cannot make it because of weather, please call or email Erin Dunleavy at 570-941-7000 ext 6 or erin.dunleavy2@scranton.edu
